Russia's Sberbank expects key rate to be cut to 4% in December
MOSCOW, Oct 29 (PRIME) -- Russia's biggest lender Sberbank expects the central bank to cut the key rate by 0.25 percentage points in December to 4% annually, the bank said in a presentation on Thursday.
The bank also improved the forecast for the decrease of the Russian economy to 3.8% from 4.2% in 2020. The forecast for inflation rose by 0.3 percentage points to 3.8%. The ruble forecast was changed to 71–73 to the U.S. dollar from 70–71 rubles. The Urals price forecast grew to U.S. $42 per barrel from $41.
